Following in the footsteps of Admin, I'm moving my old logs which I had thankfully backed up from the old site. I wish I had kept copies of everyone else's, but unfortunately I only have physical copies of a small handful of my own notes. My apologies.
January 5th 2012
When I accessed the mainframe this time, I was in a place I'd never been to before, a vast tundra wasteland with no sign of life. Orion's sluggish behavior suddenly made sense, as his cold-blooded reptilian form would not have been able to sustain itself in these harsh conditions. I scolded him for wandering off, and set off south in hopes that it would take us to someplace warmer. Thankfully I found a cave in which he could rest until I'm able to provide full guidance. After returning home, I referred to the map and discovered we should be headed in the right direction. I ordered him to continue that way until he reached the desert zone several grids away.
January 27th 2012
After many attempts, I managed to gain access once more. Orion was in better spirits this time as the desert was closer to his natural terrain. I set out towards our regular patrol route, and found a lot of fire destruction. Parts of the sand had been melted together to form a glass pathway where a large fire DejiMon had obviously passed through. There was a gathering of plant-type DejiMon in a small oasis who seemed rather spooked when we approached, but did not disturb our work in any way. I've instructed Orion to keep walking back towards base camp where we can resume training.
February 9th 2012
Orion had been back at camp for a few days now, and so when I arrived he was ready to start work straight away. He wasn't too out of shape considering all the time we had taken off getting him back from the tundra, but then he must have encountered quite a few obstacles on the way so it was a work out in its own right. I discovered that while Orion and I were gone, some KoeMon had ransacked my fort and were in fact still taking residence. The mess was easy to clean, but almost all of the supplies I had gathered had been demolished. We broke training to resume gathering food for the time being.
1st March 2012
After a frustratingly long break, during which time I amended my maps and updated my files on the surrounding area, my return was greeted by an unpleasant surprise. It seemed that the large fire DejiMon whose trail we had encountered in the desert zone was none other than the MeraMon whose slumber was interrupted by the recent quakes. Everywhere on our patrol had been decimated by fire, and the forest was still burning when I arrived. I had Orion aid me in putting out the fires, but all that remained of the trees were their charred metal cores. I'm confident they will grow back, but unfortunately I couldn't stay long enough to find and take down the perpetrator.
5th March 2012
I had a lucky break and gained access much earlier than I should have. Sometimes I wonder if the Mainframe itself has some kind of primitive understanding of the situation, because I was allowed back in and Orion and I set out in pursuit of MeraMon. We encountered a fresh trail several grids from where we last put out the fires. I knew that Orion as a Dark AguMon had little chance of defeating it, but we attempted to contain it instead. The MeraMon was causing destruction by the peninsula, and we managed to corral it and trap it by destroying the walkway as he went. It will remain on the new island until Orion is strong enough to defeat it, or until it is tamed.
April 7th 2012
I made some routine repairs today, the extreme weather of the forest zone was starting to take its toll on my fort. I couldn't stay long due to personal limitations, but I feel that I did enough to justify using my access.
May 1st 2012
I found myself somewhere on the border of the Ocean Zone today. It was dark when I arrived, but Orion seemed to be fixated on something on the horizon that I couldn't see. No matter what I did he refused to leave, so we sat on the beach and waited. When the sun rose, he began to walk back to base camp. I'm not sure what was going through his mind, but it was certainly an insight into DejiMon behavior.
Between May and now I don't have any physical copies of my logs to upload. I'll sum it up from memory however. Since then, Orion has evolved into Dark TyrannoMon, and the damaged areas of the forest have almost all grown back. Plant life in the Mainframe isn't like plant life here. It's almost all built up from some kind of false framework. Some are hollow, some are solid, but none are entirely organic.
I will update in the future with more logs and resources.
