While we're on this subject, as a side note, do you agree with the use of training aids--non-violent or otherwise? Orion is often too strong to handle in some cycles, especially at Adult level and up. I have found myself requiring a whip before today simply to bring him back in line. I would prefer not to cause bodily harm to him, but it doesn't seem to do much long term damage, so I find it an acceptable, but rarely used tool.
Wish I could vote 2 times because I use a mix of both! You can use a lot of brute strength but also there is no sense in raw power alone, a guiding hand to help channel all that power is simply the best way to handle training. Discipline! Very important.
I believe it depends greatly on the type of DejiMon, Tengu has shown great intelligence throughout all his cycles, and responds well to any training, I've never had to use brute force. However I know some DejiMon definitely require it, especially types such as Tyrannomon, Greymon, Monochromon, etc.
As I aim for powerful DejiMon, I prefer methods involving brute strength. They insure your position as the Master, and keep your DejiMon strong. Leniency only results in weakness.
